We set goals and have dreams we wish to accomplish. Instead of enjoying the process we become frustrated because we do not see immediate results.
We start a diet and on day 2 we want to see the scale 5lbs lighter. So at lunch, we decide to have the pizza since the diet isn’t working. We’ll spend the savings we accumulated in one month on new shoes because we want to reward ourselves for saving the money in the first place.
We need to enjoy the process and not allow fear to enter our mind when things are not going the way we expect them to. When you step on the scale and see an increase instead of a decrease, remind yourself “this is all part of the process, let me enjoy it.”
Instant gratification is like instant coffee it’s never as good as the real thing.
